Using Microsoft Remote Desktop
- With the Microsoft Remote Desktop, the impossible is now a comfortable user experience for almost everyone. It allows Mac users to remotely connect to their preferred Windows desktop to access network resources, apps, and even local files. This connection enables you to use almost any other device or computer from your Mac.
- Before you can use it, you'll need to enable access. In the search box on the taskbar, type remote assistance, and then select Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be sent from this computer from the list of results. Then, on the Remote tab, select the Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer check box, and then select OK.

You can control a remote PC by using a Microsoft Remote Desktop client. The client can run on almost any device, including on your mobile smartphone. The client gives you the same powers you would have if you could reach the PC's keyboard. Through the client, you can:
- Operate the apps that are installed on the PC.
- Access the files and network resources of the PC.
- Leave the apps open when you end the client.
